As a result of the cooperation between the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, a unique material library has been opened in the Central European region. The Budapest Design Material Library find its niche in collecting the latest and most innovative material samples from all over the world and making them widely available to professionals, design industry players and students engaged in innovation and in research & development. The continuously expanding collection and the online database available on site provide an opportunity to explore innovative uses of a wide range of material samples and to open up the possibility of linking design and other industrial sectors. The Budapest Design Material Library was opened with speeches by Dr. László György, State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, József Fülöp, Rector of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and Zsófia Bata-Jakab, CEO of the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency.
